Special Properties of Logarithms

For any positive numberĀ  \(b\) but \(b \ne 1\),

$${\log _b}b = 1$$

Example:

$${\log _4}4 = 1$$

For any positive numberĀ  \(b\) but \(b \ne 1\),

$${\log _b}1 = 0$$

Example:

$${\log _8}1 = 0$$
